A terrific article in the Smithsonian magazine leads in with this sentence: “In the past decade, extraordinary space missions have discovered new features of the Sun, the planets and their moons”. The photos that we now have are truly amazing.

Here is a very interesting article by Michael Pollan of the New York Times discussing that the real issue with the US healthcare system is the American diet. He makes some excellent points. It would be very interesting to see if pressure to change the average American diet grows quickly once health insurance companies must provide equal coverage for all.
